Joseph Robley (14th Feb.1856 – 20 April, 1904), born at Scarrowmanwick, established the Cumwhitton Robleys. He married Mary Ann Lowis (1857-1928), of Blunderfield daughter of John Lowis, a farmer and the former Jane Blenkinship Haresceugh Castle . His eldest son John (1878-1959), also born at Scarrowmanwick, must have been only 12 at the time of this competition.
