Eva J. Robley Laid to Rest

DURHAM The funeral of the late Mrs. Eva Robley, widow of Rod Robley, Durham, was held Wednesday, Oct. 1, from Durham Presbyterian Church. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Watters, Salem, and was 72.

The service was conducted by Rev. Fred Pauley, assisted by Rev. Hugh Creaser, New Glasgow. The church choir led in the singing of her favorite hymns, "The Lord's My Shepherd" and "Abide With Me".

In her immediate family Mrs. Robley is survived by three daughters, Olive (Mrs. Borden Douglas), Fredericton; Evelyn (Mrs. Murdock Campbell), Dartmouth; Elva (Mrs. Harold Smith), Pictou; three sons, Harold, at home; John, Burlington, Ont.; Waldo, Fort Erie, Ont.; two sisters, Miss Bessie Watters, Saltsprings; Georgia (Mrs. Ira Mackay), New Glasgow and one brother, Willard, Saltsprings; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one sister, Laura (Mrs. Norman Stewart), Westville and two brothers, Vernon and Edison.

Pallbearers were Fraser Sutherland, Lloyd MacLean, Harold MacKay, Gordon Stewart, Robert Watters and Scott Watters.

Interment was in Durham cemetery.

Eva Jessie Watters Robley: born 23 July 1897; christened 28 October 1897; married Roderick MacKenzie Robley 23 January 1918; died 28 September 1969; buried 1 October 1969.
