John Robley, son of William Robley and Catherine Fraser.

On the 29th April, on board the barge Catherine Jane, on his way from New York to this port, John, second son of Mr. William Robley of Corn Hill, West River, aged 28 years.

John Robley: born 1836, Pictou, NS.; died April 29 1864.

John Robley died at sea (Straits of Canso), from smallpox on his brother-in-law's ship, the Catherine Jane. His brother-in-law, Captain High MacKinnon, also died of smallpox shortly afterwards.
