Sarah Jane (Robley) Mackinnon, second daughter of William Robley and Catherine Fraser, and her husband, Hugh MacKinnon

Mrs. Sarah Jane MacKinnon, widow of the late Hugh MacKinnon, died on Saturday after a long illness. Mrs. MacKinnon's maiden name was Robley. Thomas Robley, now residing with his daughter Mrs. A.J. MacDonald in Truro is the only survivor of the family. Deceased was born in 1832 being 77 years of age at her death. Her husband died 45 years ago. Mrs. MacKinnon was a woman of most estimable character and had a wide circle of loving friends. She was a member of the Episcopal Church (St, James) and took great interest in church work. She leaves 3 children: "Jay", Mysie and Cassie. The funeral was held on Monday, and was largely attended.
